Alan Lyons – President

As our new President and a founding member, Alan D. Lyons is a Chicago lawyer who has practiced law in many fields and works predominantly in international law and trade relations. He also practices law in New York and California. He is Corporate Counsel for numerous international and local companies. His work has led him to various parts of the world including China, Nigeria, Holland, The Phillipines, France, Greece, Brazil, and Papua New Guinea.  He has done significant charitable legal work for national and international nonprofits and foundations.

Debbie Gilliam – Vice President of Community Affairs

Debbie has worked as a Registered Nurse for forty years. Her experience ranges from Critical Care to Cardiology to Public Health. She is an active member of the Salem United Methodist Church. There, she has served many roles including missions, community outreach, and the soup kitchen at the Kenosha Shalom Center. Additionally, she served as a speaking member of the board for UMCOR during the ‘Imagine No Malaria’ campaign. Debbie has traveled to Africa on five separate humanitarian and medical mission trips with Aid Africa’s Children. She volunteers her time serving hospice patients and working on projects for needy children.

Rebecca Schwuchow – Vice President of Missions

Rebecca has worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, currently employed as a Base Manager for Flight for Life. Rebecca has served on the Board of Directors for Women’s and Children’s Horizons in Kenosha, WI. She worked as a sexual assault nurse examiner for 10 years at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha WI. While in that role, she worked with the philanthropy department assisting with raising $20,000 to purchase a colposcope machine for the SANE department. Additionally, she was instrumental in starting a fund for low income families with children who could not afford to fill their prescriptions. Rebecca has traveled to Africa on seven humanitarian aid trips.

LuAnn Wing – Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations

LuAnn Wing is an award-winning TV producer who has worked with ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX-TV in Chicago. She has produced and written advertising and image campaigns, for (TV, Radio, Print) and News (4,5,6, & 10pm) and local programming (Oprah, Wheel of Fortune, Roger Ebert, Food, Medical, Finance, and Sports) and Sales. She has expanded her television skills to include brand marketing integration, developing documentaries, web producer, content developer, and web designer, events management, and public relations.  

Her clients have included TV stations, corporations, (including Pepsi, Sony Entertainment, Japan Airlines, Bresler’s Ice Cream, Kraft Foods, BlueCross/BlueShield), advertising agencies,  nonprofits and government agencies.

Recently, LuAnn earned a Nonprofit Management Certificate from University of Illinois.

Adrian Galli – Vice President of Social media and Technology

Adrian Galli is a director, cinematographer, photographer, technology guru and 17 year Apple Inc. veteran. At Apple, he initiated, wrote and taught the curriculum for many of the Studio Series training programs including the industry leader in editing Final Cut Pro, Aperture, Adobe Photoshop, and iLife. Adrian started popular first “Game Nights" series at Apple creating a new audience that never existed before for key Apple store products.  His extensive knowledge of Apple products, Apple history, and Apple customers creates a natural vehicle generating innovative new ideas for Apple products in the national and international retail market. Pulling from his skills in film and TV, and Apple, he now produces programming (events) strategies in Apple’s Chicago market.

As a technology guru his approach to a problem solving is cool under fire, versatile, analytical, methodical, and innovative.  His technology skills are accelerated by a discerning eye, his love of science which ignite the complex way he explores and narrates the world through film, photography, and technology. Adrian and his creative team have produced commercials, documentaries, narrative shoots and music videos.  His clients have included BMW, Uber, University of Chicago,  Apple, Inc., Mariano’s, and Canon.

Recently, Adrian was a Chicago Ideas Bluhm/Helfand Social Innovation (BHSI) Fellowship nominee for his work with Aid Africa’s Children.

Dr. Diane Gerlach, DO, MHA, FAAP

Diane is a valued member of the Kenosha medical community.  She currently sits on several boards of directors including Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Kenosha County Division of Health.  Diane has served on several medical mission trips including three with Aid Africa’s Children, where she was an integral part of the ‘Helping Babies Breath’ education program provided to rural mothers and caregivers.
