Cultural Dancers Waiting to Perform at Creche Opening

They usually charge for performances at official functions but for “Mama Sophie” as she is affectionately called by her students, they did it for free.

These teenagers formed a cultural dance troupe after they finished high school because they couldn’t afford to pay for college fees.

Mama Sophie got the kids booked at a big hotel event. They were thrilled for the opportunity and great exposure. She also lets them practice on her property for free. It doesn’t hurt that three of the dancers are her former Creche students!

The kids call themselves, the “Future Stars Youth Club.” They are performing a traditional Botswana dance.

The community gathering celebrating the creche opening with the food, music and entertainment  made for a joyous and memorable day for everyone!
