What do Pre-Schoolers Learn at Sophie’s Creche?

This pre-schooler at Sophie’s Creche steps up to the challenge and identifies her animals and colors.   

Activities for 2-3 year old pre-schoolers are in the Small Classroom at Sophie’s Creche. The kids learn to count, color, letter recognition and practice the days of the week and months of the year. Identifying shapes, colors, objects and animals builds a foundation for learning to read.  There is also a focus on developing fine motor skills which are important for writing, holding a pencil,  coloring, and grasping. Gross motor skills are practiced through movement activities including jumping, skipping, dancing, and learning choreography for song and dance presentations.
