The Miraculous Sophie Effect

How can this one person bring so many different kinds of people together to rally for a good cause? The year 2023, will always be remembered as Sophie’s Coming to America tour.

She renewed precious friendships from Aid Africa’s Children’s mission trips to South Africa. Sophie made more new friends who would support Sophie’s Creche. Local businesses came to her aid, like Jill Rzeplinski of Lily Lake Resort. Pastor Ron Ellis and his wife, Bonnie, invited Sophie and Aid Africa’s Children to visit their church on Chicago’s Southside.

We are so grateful to you!

This year, thanks to you, we met our first big "Sophie goal.” We raised enough money for two teacher’s Certification Training that is mandatory for all Creches in South Africa.

Our second “Sophie goal” is to raise funds for a separate ToddlerRoom.” The purpose is to separate the overflow of energetic toddlers who keep the infants awake during their scheduled nap time. Currently, they are in the same room and it is creating a very pressing government issue for the Creche that must be remedied soon.

Each goal we reach takes us one step closer to government funding.

Because of donors and supporter like you, the new kitchen, the new appliances including the stove, refrigerator, and shelving unit literally shocked officials into considering funding Sophie’s Creche!

Sophie explained, their great surprise. “It’s because they never expected to find a kitchen like in a creche like ours with no running water or toilets!”

Only creches in the city have a real kitchen and real oven. Sophie’s kitchen broke all the rules because of our generous donors at Aid Africa’s Children.

Thank you everyone for coming together to help Sophie’s Creche and Aid Africa’s Children.

Please give generously over the holiday season so we can do more good giving opportunities and hope at Sophie’s Creche.

Thank you for everything you've done for us!
