"A genuine Connection and Camaraderie."

Pastor Ronald Ellis of the New Christian Life House of Prayer & Faith and Alan Lyons, President of Aid Africa’s Children discuss helping Sophie’s Creche.

As soon as Sophie’s trip was official, Aid Africa’s Children called Bonnie Ellis, Assistant Pastor at the New Christian Life House of Prayer and Faith to arrange a visit to meet Sophie in person!

Since preparing for Sophie’s first visit to America, Aid Africa’s Children has noticed a familiar pattern emerging called “the Sophie Effect.” It’s about people who don’t know each other, or normally speak to each other, coming together to help a common cause, in this case, Sophie’s Creche.

One of these collaborations and new alliances is between Aid Africa’s Children and the New Christian Life House of Prayer and Faith in Chicago. Sophie and Aid Africa’s Children’s Alan Lyons and LuAnn Wing drove to Chicago’s southside to attend a special service and luncheon in Sophie’s honor.

Sometimes, a simple conversation can open doors in the most unlikely wonderful supportive ways! During dental visits, Bonnie and LuAnn, Aid Africa’s Children’s VP of Marketing and PR often had great conversations. This led to Bonnie’s interest in helping Sophie’s Creche.
