An Unexpected Gift Brings Joy!

It was supposed to be a special Friday luncheon, but, Sophie had other plans!

When the kids saw the goody bags and heard that they were for them, they got really excited! They were elated because they could not believe that the gift was theirs! They immediately wanted to open them right away.

But before they opened them, Sophie made sure they gave a special thank you to Aid Africa’s Children’s donors, Lou and Susan Mark.

Prior to gift opening, Sophie had the preschoolers practice for a few days saying thank you and making sure their names were pronounced correctly.

Only after they said thank you were they allowed to look into the bags. Immediately, you could hear a chorus of “WOW!” across the room!

It’s a great way to reinforce good, healthy hygiene habits that will last a lifetime.

The total cost for the 37 hygiene gift bags was $209.18.  In Africa, the American dollar can go a long way helping people in Africa. This incredible gift has already made warm, memorable impressions on the kids, teachers, and parents at Sophie’s Creche.
